Care for denim products
One of the charms of jeans is that they change over time, but as a product characteristic, they do fade and transfer color. Also, for materials that are difficult to wash, the color may not fade easily once it transfers. Please be careful when wearing and washing the product.
Care for your jeans
At MOMOTARO JEANS, we recommend washing and wearing your jeans regularly to ensure they last a long time.
There is a belief that jeans should not be washed in order to prevent color fading, but unwashed clothing is very unsanitary, and this is true not just for jeans. If jeans with oil, sweat, and dirt on them are left unwashed, the fibers will stretch and the dirt will oxidize, causing deterioration. Regular washing will restore the stretch in the fibers, prevent oxidation, and extend the life of your jeans.
Here we will introduce basic washing methods at home.
Washing Instructions
1. Turn your jeans inside out
- Fasten all buttons and zippers, turn your jeans inside out and place them in the washing machine.
- Prevents deformation and scratches on the washing machine drum caused by buttons and rivets.
2. Add detergent and put in the washing machine
- Please use our original jeans detergent or a commercially available liquid detergent that does not contain bleach or fluorescent agents.
- Jeans may fade or transfer color, so be sure to wash them separately.
3. Gently smooth out wrinkles
- Jeans do not retain their shape. After washing, gently smooth out any wrinkles when you take them out. Before hanging them out to dry, gently stretch them lengthwise and widthwise to prevent them from losing their shape.
4. Dry inside out in the shade
- Hang the garment inside out to dry naturally. We recommend drying it in the shade to prevent discoloration caused by direct sunlight.
- Do not tumble dry as this may cause the jeans and leather patches to shrink.
