Japan Blue Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company") recognizes that the proper handling of personal information of employees, users, etc. is the basis of our business activities and our social responsibility, and pledges to adhere to the following policy.
1. In order to properly handle personal information, we will faithfully comply with the obligations set forth in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the "Act") and other relevant laws, regulations and guidelines regarding the protection of personal information. Personal information is defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Act as information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual, and the same applies below.
2. We will specify the purpose of use as much as possible and handle personal information only within the scope of the purpose of use, except when we obtain the prior consent of the person in question or when it is required by law to be treated as an exception. "Person in question" refers to a specific individual who can be identified by personal information, and the same applies below.
3. When acquiring personal information, the Company will acquire it through appropriate means, and will either publicly announce the purpose of use in advance, or promptly notify or publicly announce the purpose of use to the individual after acquisition, except in cases where it is required by law to be treated as an exception. However, if the information is acquired directly from the individual in writing, the Company will clearly indicate this in advance.
4. We strive to keep the personal data we handle accurate and up-to-date within the scope of the purpose of use, and take necessary and appropriate measures for safety management and properly supervise employees and contractors. Personal data refers to personal information that constitutes a personal information database, etc. (Article 2, Paragraph 2 of the Law) as stipulated in Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the Law, and the same applies hereinafter.
5. Except in cases where exceptions are required by law, we will not provide personal data to third parties without the prior consent of the individual.
6. The Company will comply with requests from individuals to disclose, correct, etc. their retained personal data in accordance with the law. Retained personal data refers to data as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 5 of the Law.
7. We will promptly and appropriately respond to complaints from individuals regarding the personal information we handle, and will strive to establish an internal system for this purpose.
8. We will strive to continually improve this protection policy regarding the personal information we handle, including by conducting appropriate internal audits.
