The "temari" is a traditional Japanese good-luck charm whose round shape embodies wishes for harmony and auspicious relationships. "Kurashiki Temari" was born from this tradition and the spirit of folk art that thrives in Kurashiki.
Its hallmark is intricate geometric patterns — formed by winding layers of thread around a rice-husk core, then stitching each design one stitch at a time.
Using indigo-dyed threads from denim weaving, "Tessen" patterns represent bonds and good relationships.

What is the recommended length?
At MOMOTARO JEANS, we recommend a length that allows for a little extra room at the hem - "one cushion" (see example image).
The recommended length is calculated assuming that the jeans are worn above the hips. The amount of shrinkage at the desired position will be taken into consideration when finishing the jeans, so there is no need to take shrinkage into consideration at the customer's end. Please note that the position of the hem may change depending on where you wear the jeans.
When to roll up
If you would like your jeans rolled up, please add 3 to 4 cm to the recommended length for MOMOTARO JEANS by selecting the "Specify More Detail" option.
